Our Story

Every perfect cup begins with a moment in nature, a single green coffee cherry ripening under a distant sun. From that cherry comes the green coffee bean, the raw treasure that fuels the art, the aroma, and the experience of true Italian coffee.

Green Bean Caffè was born from that same sense of origin and purpose. Founded in 2016 in Ottawa by Michael Wiwchar, after a 41-year career with the Federal Government, the company began as a passion project rooted in craftsmanship, authenticity, and a love for Italy’s timeless coffee culture.

What started as a small, post-retirement venture quickly grew through trust, quality, and word-of-mouth. By May 2024, Green Bean Caffè evolved into Green Bean Caffè Corp. (GBCC), becoming a premium provider of Italian espresso systems, gourmet beverages, and personalized service for businesses across the region.

Today, GBCC stands as a bridge between tradition and modern convenience by bringing the richness of Italy’s coffee heritage directly to your workplace, one exceptional cup at a time.
